CHANGING THE CONVERSATION
Many of you may have grown up calling these STDs and somehow that’s created a stigma. One solution? Start calling it an Infection instead of a Disease.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) asked us to help raise awareness.
Our solution was centered around a badge campaign that would allow users to put their STI-Infections Test status in their user profile pic on dating sites and other social media.
Conversation starter.
It all begins with a hello. What comes next and then after that is anyone’s guess. The question is always there in the back of everyone’s mind, but how do you ask something so crass as well as taboo?
Committing to regular testing and being forthright with that concern allowed potential partners to narrow their field of potential suitors to a more like-minded group of singles.
